Penile Cancer is a disease of the Penis.
The Cancerous growth in the Skin or tissues of the Penis is called Penile Cancer.
The Penis is made up of tissues, nerves, smooth muscle and blood vessels. The Penis contains a tube called the Urethra. It carries urine and semen out of the body. The Penis is the part of the reproductive system and urinary system.
The uncontrolled growth of the cells which causes the formation of a mass on the Penis is called Penile Cancer.

Human papillomavirus (HPV) Infection : It gets passed on during sexual activity.
Smoking
Growing Age
Smegma : It is a thick substance under the Penis foreskin. It contains small amounts of Cancer causing substances.

Different types of Cancers which affect the Penis :
Adenocarcinoma : The cancerous growth begins in the sweat glands in the Penis Skin.
Melanoma : This type of Cancer arises from Melanocytes which is a pigment producing Skin cell.
Basal cell Penile Cancer : It is a type of Skin Cancer. It grows slowly and rarely spreads to other parts of the body.
Sarcoma : The cancer which arises from the connective tissues, blood vessels and smooth muscles of the penis is called Sarcoma.
Epidermoid Carcinoma : The Cancer arising from the Squamous cells is called Epidermoid Carcinoma. The Squamous cells are thin and flat cells found in the tissue that form the surface of the Skin.
Verrucous Carcinoma : The cancer arising in the male or female genitals. It is a rare type of squamous cell cancer which occurs on the male or female genitals.
