My father has bile duct cancer is CA-19.9 result is 125 u/ml .Before a week he got PTC wire with bag but stent completely not going to bile duct due to blockage. he has a serious jaundice his age is 71 years old and he is very weak. he is not taking diet properly

My mother was having severe pain some 10 days back and we did a CT scan, the findings of which are listed below :

Gall bladder is partially distended showing diffusely thickened wall and mild pericholecystic fat stranding. The common bile duct is dilated (measured ~ 13 mm in mild segment). And tiny calculus of size ~1mm is seen in distal CBD with surrounding soft tissue component.

CECT abdomen shows a tiny calculus with surrounding small soft tissue in the distal CBD causing mild dilatation of proximal CBD and IHBR. Mild diffuse GB wall thickening with surrounding fat stranding is seen ? cholecystitis.

After CT scan doctor recommended ERCP which we declined because of complications which might arise later on.
Although, now she is ok for the last 10 days without pain. As we are giving her completely fiber rich diet only, no fats at all. She is having constant jaundice of 1.3 level approx.

What is your recommendation ?

My father, 67, has bile duct cancer which manifested in the liver. In December, surgeons successful removed tumor. Two weeks ago, they found an enlarged lymph node near his liver. Currently, that is the only location of the cancer. He's supposed to start chemo next week. I'm looking for a supplements that may help him cope with chemo or maybe even put him in remission. This is all new and was looking for recommendation is supplements or naturopathic doctors. We live in he south jersey-philly area but are willing to travel.

My mother is diagnosed with edinocarcinoma of bile duct. She's 47 years old. Doctor's are suggesting for Whipple surgery which we don't want to perform. She had a stenting in her bile duct. My Mom 52 year old was admitted to hospital for Obstructive Jaundice, ERCP was done to remove sludge in the bile and stenting was done, There is no Jaundice now. The Doctors are now telling that there is Tumor in the bile and hence wont be removing the stent. They are suggesting to do whipples surgery, which i am very scared of. My father is 56 age got bile duct cancer 3A recently wholile doing ct scan. Doctor are saying that there is no point to get operation as the result will be zero in next 2-3 months. My mother 67 years, is a Gall Bladder/Bile Duct/ Cholangiocarcinoma cancer with metastasis to liver. It was diagnosed in May 2017 and since then she has taken 13 cycles of chemo till 17th March 2018. But disease is still progressing in the liver with mild dilation of CBD and mild increase in periheptic fluid...She does not have jaundice not bloating in stomach...little active. We have stopped chemo now as it is not effective.

Her appetite in low and she has pain in the abdomen..

My Mother has been diagnosed with gall bladder stones and tumor which is penetrating a part of liver, for which she has been operated in Sep 2014 ( gall bladder was removed during operation ) , after that she got septic in stomach for which she was hospitalized for almost 2 months. Various pig tails catheter were inserted in stomach and with grace of GOD she got recovered.

Afterword’s things were fine with her for almost 1.5 years, in Sep 2016 she was having sever pain & itching in body for which various MRI, CT Scan guided with PET Scan were conducted and got to know there was reoccurrence of cancer in Liver Bile Duct. Currently her Cancer marker Test is giving high reading and she is having hernia in stomach due to pig tails catheter which were inserted in Sep 2014.

My father has been diagonised with advaced cholangio carcinoma and large tumor which is inoperable in the middle of his liver encasing the blood vessels. He has tubes to remove bile externally but they are blocking. He has bacterial and fungal infection in liver and taking very string antibiotics. He has puss abscess in liver which needs to be suctioned out every few days. He has not done chemo due to infection and i prefer not to give him chemo anyway. My father has been diagnosed with jaundice past ten days because of Common bile duct obstruction with few lymph nodes. Basic Liver, blood, urine tests were done along with ultrasound. Later MRCP and CT Triphasic had been done. Bilirubin was 11.5 then. He has got yellow eyes and skin, light clay coloured stools, dark orangish urine and itchiness. He is 69 with a 2 year old history of paralysis, which was completely recovered and 4 month old diabetes, but both BP and Diabetes are under control. He is active with regular morning walks and doing all the daily chores by himself.
Since the day jaundice has been detected, all his previous medicines which he had been taking since past two years has been discontinued. Doctors suggested biopsy, endoscopic ultrasound, ERCP, major surgery, stent in the bile duct.
Please advice if it can be cured without any surgery and with herbal medicines and any side effects asap so that we can skip the surgery.

My mother has been diagnosed with cholidocal cyst with superimposed cholangiocarcinoma. The doctors intended on removing her right lobe of the liver, but the surgery was unsuccessful as the tumor has spread to the left lobe, they did not perform hepatectomy.They put in a metal stent for the free flow of bile.
The doctor has proposed chemotherapy, but we don't know when we'll start.
Please let us know what we can do to get rid of the tumor.

He will start chemo in a few days but the doctor says there are no many chances . It’s just to try to make him a bit strong so he can get back to his country .

Hello my dad is 67 years old India citizen leave in USA since only 2 years . He is Fully vegetarian and diagnose with CHOLANGIO CARCINOMA ( BIOL DUCK ) cancer on October 23 2018 . He got etching problem then he got jondis and his bilirubin was 9.5 then we took him to hospital they put 2 drain with the stains to open the biofuel drains. He haddock far two the drain . Both was flushed everyday good and his bilirubin was down 3.5 but since last week his one drain was leaking out side too much and we rush him to the hospital cuz of his fever was 102 and his bilirubin was 7.5 instead of 3.5 . Doctors try 2 more times to stop leaks out side but it’s still leaking but bilirubin is now 3.5 today again on December 8th 2018. As of doctors if is still leaking too much that’s means the tumor is getting big and he will not get chemo therapy till his bilirubinis down too 2 or lower. He is diabetic Which his sugar level around 120 to 240 some time . Im so glad to see these conversations about Cholangiocarcinoma. We are mostly being told that the Western Medical community has little to offer us other than surgery when possible and chemo. We also know that it is very aggressive and often returns. My friend has had a successful surgery and does not want to use Chemo. What can you recommend to prevent the return of this cancer long term

My father age is 84 years , He had a problem of Parkinsons & slightly high blood pressure, since last week he is diagnostised with heavy jaundice with symptoms of deep yellow eyes & urine, itching in entire body and fever. My husband recently had a liver resection for Extrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma Hilar (Klatskin) Tumor. He had 2 cancerous lymph nodes out of 5 that were removed. He got clear margins, however, one of the margins was only .5 cm. They started him on adjuvant chemotherapy (Capcetibine, BILCAP Protocol). I am afraid the chemo is going to cause his immune system to break down and he'll have a recurrence. I'm reading Curcumin and Quercitin can help during chemotherapy. Any other recommendations?

My mother is 60 years old. She was diagnosed cancerous tumor in her oesophagus (GI junction) in August 2019 . Hi. My stepmother has been diagnosed with bile duct cancer stage 4. Doctor says it's spread to other parts as well but they will try with chemo. She's very young about 40 yrs. And the doctor said the only option is the removal of the tumor through surgery.
