Description
Actinomycosis is a disease of the Neck, Tongue, Mouth, Chest, Abdomen and the Pelvic.
The bacterial infection that causes red hard lumps on the Neck, Mouth, Chest, Abdomen and the Pelvic is Actinomycosis.
It causes painful abscesses on the affected region.
Types of Actinomycosis are
Cervicofacial Actinomycosis : The infection occurs inside the Mouth, Neck, Jaw and the Tongue. The bacteria enters the body through Tooth Decay.
Thoracic Actinomycosis : The infection occurs inside the Lungs. It causes loss of weight and shortness of breath. The primary signs are Fever and Cough.
Abdominal Actinomycosis : It occurs inside the Abdomen. The infection occurs in the Gastrointestinal Tract and causes Vomiting.
Pelvic Actinomycosis : The infection occurs in the lower part of the Abdomen, that is Pelvis. It causes Abdominal pain and irregular Menses.
