An Allergic reaction which causes Inflammation of the Tongue is termed as Glossitis. It causes swelling of the Tongue and difficulty in Chewing, Swallowing and in Speaking.

Aconite : Must have Headache worse from lying down
Apis Mell : Must have a stinging feeling like the sting of a wasp
Belladonna : Must have throbbing headache in the temples
Cantharis : Must have a burning sensation
Mercurius : Must be worse from change in temperature
Materia Medica for Glossitis
Single Herb Put 1 tablespoon of dried Chamomile flowers in one cup of water. Boil it. Simmer for 10 minutes. Strain and let it cool. Have it chilled, twice a day.
Vegetable Glycerin for Glossitis
Take Vegetable Glycerin and soak a cotton ball in it. Apply over your tongue and leave it for 10 minutes. Gently brush your tongue and rinse with lukewarm water. Repeat the process 2 times a day.
Take a fresh Aloe Vera leaf and extract the gel from it. Apply over your tongue and leave it for 10 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water. Repeat the process 2 times a day.
Take 1 tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar and quarter teaspoon of Baking Soda. Mix them in one glass of water. Rinse your mouth 2 to 3 times a day.
Take 1 teaspoon of organic Coconut Oil and put it in your mouth. Swish for 15 minutes and spit out the oil. Rinse the mouth with lukewarm water. Do this daily in the morning on an empty stomach.
Put a few fresh Mint leaves in one cup of water. Boil it. Simmer for 10 minutes. Strain and let it cool. Have it chilled, twice a day.
