Virola Sebifera General
Virola Sebifera possess medicinal properties. It has Antiseptic powers.
The bark of the herb is Astringent, Emetic and Stimulant. The bark of the plant is boiled in water and is used to induce Vomiting. The soaked bark is Antidiarrheal in nature. An infusion of the bark is used for the treatment of Dyspepsia, Intestinal Colic, Erysipelas and Inflammation. The infusion is used as a wash for cleaning Ulcers and Bruises. The juice of the bark is Analgesic in nature. It is applied externally to treat cracked heels.
The sap of the plant is used for treating Ulcers and Skin eruptions. A decoction of the sap from the bark is used as a Gargle to treat Sores of the Mouth. It is also used to relieve Toothache pain.
Virola Sebifera reduces the pain caused in Whitlow.
