I make a pureed soup of leek root, parsnip, turnip carrots, celery, onions and potatoes. This is part of a routine of plant sterols I have incorporated to stabilize my kidneys, A1C and cholesterol. All of this has been successful; however, I have developed severe abdominal distress which is persistent; symptoms of acid although I have omiteed most of anything acidic in my died; including medications. I have read that plant sterols can cause abdominal problems; can you tell me if a small bowl of these vegetables cooked till soft and pureed can cause gastric acidity. Thank you.
