Description
Amebiasis is a disease of the Gastrointestinal Tract.
The parasitic infection that causes Watery or Bloody Diarrhea is Amebiasis.
The infection is caused by Entamoeba Histolytica. The parasite resides in a Cyst. It enters the human body through contaminated food and water. When the Cyst reaches the Gastrointestinal Tract, it comes out from the Cyst. It multiplies there and causes Watery Diarrhea and Bloody Diarrhea. If the parasite enters the bloodstream it causes infection in the internal organs. It causes Ulcers and Abscesses on the Organs.
