What if you are on antidepressants? I have heard that using milk thistle in conjunction with some pharmasudicals to help protect the liver from there side effects. I have been on zoloft and wellbutrin for a couple years and my digestive system has really turned against me. I hope to find a synergistic solution between allopathic and homeopathic treatments. Going off the antidepressants would be disastrous considering the med-high doses. Thank you for your time! I am a fan of Herbpathy.com and am excited to see the organization grow!

Dear Brittany
Thank you for the good words and being a reader of Herbpathy. Well, Milk Thistle can cause certain side effects if taken along with Antianxiety or Antidepressants. The same has been mentioned in the herb side effects.
You can add Schisandra, Radish and Dandelion, if Milk Thistle is not suiting you. Take Radish juice, have 30ml juice daily on an empty stomach. Take a break of 7 days. Then again take for 3 days and leave a gap of 7 days. Continue it for 1 month. Check the results after a month. You can also add Dandelion to your diet.
Please check about the herb always before taking it. Side effects are added to herbs as per our best knowledge. Please consult your Health care provider before taking any herb since you are on medication.
