Description
Myelodysplastic Syndrome is a disease of the Bone Marrow.
When the bone marrow produces defective Blood cells, it is called as Myelodysplastic Syndrome. It is a result of malfunctioning of the Bone Marrow.
Bone Marrow is a spongy tissue present at the central part of the Bone. It fills the hollow space in the Bones. It produces three types of Blood cells ( RBC, WBC and Platelets ). If the functioning of the Bone Marrow gets impaired, it produces defective Blood Cells. Those Blood cells may get damaged soon and are nonfunctional.
