Description

Cushing's Syndrome is a disease of the Hormones. When the level of the Cortisol hormone is high in the Body for a longer period. It is termed as Cushing's Syndrome. The excessive production of the Cortisol hormone, by the Adrenal Gland leads to Cushing's Syndrome. It also occurs due to the prolonged consumption of Steroids.
The Pituitary Gland Tumor ( Pituitary Adenomas) produces large quantity of Adrenocorticotropic hormones. This would escalate the production of Cortisol's, by the Adrenal Glands. Thus, the chances of acquiring Cushing's Syndrome increases.
People between the age of 20-50 are more likely to encounter this syndrome. In comparison to Men, it is more commonly found in Women.
