Time to know about Nosebleeds

Nose Bleeding

Nose Bleeding is a disease of the nose.
A Nosebleed means blood coming out of nose. It can affect both the nostrils, but most often occurs in only one nostril.

Dry air is the most common cause of nosebleed. Living in a dry climate and using a central heating system can dry out the Nasal membranes (tissues inside the nose) It can be frightening, but it is not a sign of anything serious. Nosebleeds tend to occur more often during winter months and in dry cold climates. They can occur at any age, but are most common in children aged 2 to 10 years and adults aged 50 to 80 years.

Nosebleeds are categorized based on where they originate, and are described as Anterior Nosebleeds (originating from the front of the nose) or Posterior Nosebleeds (originating from the back of the nose)

Symptoms of Nose Bleeding:
• Palpitation
• Shortness of Breath
• Skin turns pale
• Dizziness
• Weakness

What causes Nose Bleeds?
• Dryness in a room caused by heating appliances
• High blood pressure
• Common cold
• Allergy
• Injury
• Consuming of something hot and cold simultaneously.
• Leukemia
• Medication
• Aspirin use
• Hemophilia
• Nasal Polyps
• Acute Sinusitis
• Blow the nose
• Hormonal changes during pregnancy

Best Home remedies:
Parsley: Take 1 tablespoon of fresh parsley leaves juice, soak a cotton ball in the juice , insert it into the nose. Leave it for 5 minutes. Repeat it twice a day to cure Nosebleed.
Coconut: Take 2 pieces coconut on an empty stomach.
Onion: Squeeze the juice of onion , put two drops in each nostril.
Lemon: Put a drop of lemon juice directly to the nostril.
Coriander: smell coriander leaves
Others Herbs are:
Agrimony
Arnica
Yarrow
Wild gram

Precautions:
Herbs like Ginger, Curry powder, Paprika, Oregano, Strawberries that contains Salicilates that thins blood. If you are already on a blood thinning Medication, these herbs will multiply the effect and may cause easy and excessive bleeding. So always take those medications with caution.

Remember, nosebleeds are common in patients on Blood thinners and can be scary for the first time they happen. Nosebleeds are rarely dangerous and can usually be managed at home if you know what to do.
