Definition
Antiacne herbs are those herbs which are used to treat Acne. They may be used topically and or orally. These herbs may have antibacterial, antiinflammatory, astringent and antioxidant properties.
Effect of Antiacne herbs on Body :
These herbs effect the Skin ( when used externally ) or the Blood ( when used internally ).
How it works :
When these herbs are used locally, these herbs kill the bacteria. They may lower the oil in Skin. When taken orally, then these herbs may act like Blood Purifier.

Single Herbs
Sandalwood ( Chandan ) for Acne
Sandalwood ( Chandan ) contains Antibacterial effect which fights with bacteria and fungi. It prevents breakouts of Acne and gives soothing effect to the inflammation.
Make paste by mixing Sandalwood powder and water. Apply it over Acne affected areas. Let it dry. Wash with normal water.
Onion ( Pyaz ) for Acne
Antimicrobial and Anti-inflammatory properties of Onion ( Pyaz ) work against Acne. It kills the bacteria, diminishes the redness and inflammation.
Apply mixture of Onion juice with Honey on the Acne affected area. Let it dry. Rinse with normal water.
Oats ( Jae ) for Acne
Oats ( Jae ) clean the excessive oil from the skin which is the major cause of Acne. It also provides cooling and soothing effects to the skin.
Boil Oats ( Jae ) with water. Let it cool down. Mix it well. Apply it over affected areas. Let it dry. Wash with normal water. Do it daily.
Note : You may add Honey ( Shehad ) in to the mixture, for more skin benefits.
Stinging Nettle for Acne
Consume tea prepared by leaves of Stinging Nettle once a day.
Chinese Gynura for Acne
Heat few fresh leaves of Chinese Gynura in a pan. Tie them in a piece of cloth. Use it over Acnes.
