Description
Cervical Adenitis is a disease of the Lymph Nodes.
The bacterial or viral infection that causes inflammation of the Lymph Nodes in the Neck, is Cervical Adenitis. It is common in children.
Lymph Nodes are a part of the Immune System. They counter infections. When the bacteria or the virus try to spread the infection, it reaches the Lymph Nodes. This causes swelling and inflammation of the Lymph Nodes.
Causes of Cervical Adenitis
Bacterial or Viral Infections such as
TB
Lupus
Rubella
Syphilis
Chicken Pox
Brucellosis
Mononucleosis
Kawasaki Disease
Human Immunodeficiency Virus
If not treated properly, Cervical Adenitis may cause
