Natural treatment for Asthma Attacks

Hello!
I´m a 36 year old man, very allergic to dust (dust mites).
I used to have many asthma attacks as a child, but I had it under control after I took allergy shots (immunotherapy).
Nowadays my asthma is pretty much under control, but I have 1 or 2 attacks per year, always after I get a cold or the flu.
I want to find natural alternatives to the pharmaceutical medicines I normally take when I have an asthma attack.
I normally take an anti allergic (fexofenadin), a bronchodilator (inhalations of ipratropium and fenoterol) and a corticosteriod (prednisone) for 2-3 days.
I really must find natural alternatives to these medications, specially for prednisone, because it does a lot of harm to me.
