Hi,
As per your query regarding Inguinal Hernia. Herbal remedies available to treat Inguinal Hernia are rare. Arnica is one of those rare remedies. It may prove good for you. You may have 10 drops of Arnica Tincture in half glass of water twice a day. It may be beneficial for this problem.
Consultation with your health practitioner is must before use.
Thanks and Regards

Hi,
Both of these are similar in nature with bit difference. Mother tincture is high in potency than that of normal tincture. That is the reason it may solve your problem faster than the normal tincture. But it may also have more side effects than the normal Tincture. So it is good to use Arnica Tincture rather than the Arnica Mother Tincture.
Thanks and Regards

Found following information on net.Read and opine Arnica tincture may be harmful if swallowed. If you may have taken arnica tincture by mouth, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Arnica tincture is for external use only. Do not get arnica tincture in your eyes, nose, or mouth. If you get arnica tincture in your eyes, rinse immediately with cool water. http://www.drugs.com/cdi/arnica-tincture.html

Hi,
You are right in your words. Actually there is a difference between both tinctures. One is for external use and another one is for internal use only. If anyone uses them wrongly i.e. Arnica Tincture (External Purpose only) for internal purpose then the person may harm himself.
It is mentioned on the bottle whether it is for external purpose or internal purpose. Please check before purchasing.
Arnica Tincture for external use is made with the combination of spirit and harmful chemicals, this is the reason it can not be taken internally. Arnica for internal use is available on most of the Homoeopathic stores. Please don't confuse between them.
Thanks and Regards

Hi Bharat
This post is in regards to your query submitted to us on 03/24/2015 , about the confusion you have about Tincture. So here is an elaborated explanation. Hope you find it useful and it clears out all the dubiousness.
The word Tincture is used colloquially to denote a solution.
The Solvent is Ethanol or Ethyl Alcohol. The medicine is usually crude like iodine or benzene.
It is usually applied locally to the skin before surgery in order to prepare the skin for preventing it from infection(SSI : Surgical Site Infection).
This tincture is not the pure form of ethanol, some kind of sub-lethal poison is added to ensure that people do not drink it.
Please Note, this is NOT the tincture we refer to in Herbpathy.
In Herbpathy or in Phytotherapy, a Tincture is an EXTRACT.
For illustration;
Let us take a remedy, say Garlic. Chop it into small pieces, Put it in a bottle, add drinkable alcohol , Vodka is preferable , Shake it everyday for a month. Strain it and then Store it.
This is also called a Tincture. Here, the solute in its crude form has not been dissolved in alcohol, but , the properties of solute as a whole have been extracted. When the alcohol of the tincture evaporates, the crude substance is left behind.
On the other hand, in Alcoholic tincture, when alcohol evaporates, nothing is left behind.
So, in Herbpathy, by Tincture we mean, The Extract.

You have made a mess explaining this - nothing clear.
Do I want: "On the other hand, in Alcoholic tincture, when alcohol evaporates, nothing is left behind."
Is alcoholic tincture what I want for internal and where do I get it?
