The powdered stem bark is used as a Tooth powder. It relieves severe Toothache. Chewing fresh bark daily strengthens the loose teeth.
The gum collected form the cut bark of the plant is Demulcent. It is used as an Emulsifying agent.
The plant leaves and bark also stop Bleeding and control Infection. It is used for Wounds, Cuts and Injuries. The leaves are used to treat Dysentery and Diarrhea. It also reduces redness and swelling caused by Conjunctivitis.
