Meadowsweet General

Meadowsweet is traditionally used as an Antacid, Analgesic, Antidiarrheal and Antipyrtic.
It is a herbal remedy for mild to moderate Body Pains. The Salicylic acid content of Meadowsweet is useful in relieving Pain.
Meadowsweet flowers provide relief from burning or itching sensation in the Eyes.The Antiinflammatory effect of Meadowsweet reduces pain and discomfort caused by Rheumatism and Arthritis.
The cooling effect of Meadowsweet soothes the mucous membranes of the Digestive tract. It alleviates the problems like Nausea, Acid Reflux, Stomach Ache and poor Digestion.
Meadowsweet is particularly effective in fighting high fever. The diaphoretic action promotes sweating and expels the heat out of the body.
The Diuretic, Antiinflammatory and Analgesic property is helpful in treatment and prevention of Gout. It promotes the outflow of Urine and eliminates harmful toxins from the body.
It is used as a supportive therapy for common cold. It is used for the treatment of urinary Tract Infections.
Single Herb

Meadowsweet for Anxiety

Prepare a tea of dried herb. Drink thrice a day.
Or : Have extract twice a day.
Else :Take l-4 ml of the tincture 3 times a day.

Meadowsweet for Muscle Sprains

Prepare a tea made from dried leaves of Meadowsweet. Have one cup once a day.

Meadowsweet for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Make infusion of the flowers of Meadowsweet. Have two teaspoon two times a day.
Or: Make Poultice of the leaves of Meadowsweet. Apply over the affected area.

Meadowsweet for Fever

Meadowsweet is an aromatic plant and contains essential oils. It brings down the body temperature and promotes curing process.
Take dried flowers of Meadowsweet. Coarsely grind them. Add 2 tablespoons of ground Meadowsweet in a liter of water. Boil for 10 to 15 minutes. Drink half cup thrice a day. Repeat the process until the problem persists.
Caution : It should not be given to the children below 15.

Take Golden Seal ( Pit Kanad ), Meadowsweet and Chamomile ( Babunah ) in equal quantity. Grind them together. Have one teaspoon with lukewarm water.

Combination of Meadowsweet, Flax ( Seeds ), Marigold and Lady's Mantle is good in the treatment of Cervicitis.
Take equal quantity of herbs. Grind them coarsely. Boil 4 teaspoons of ground powder in water on a low flame for 10 minutes. Add this water in your bathing water. Sit in the water in a way, so that the water enters the vagina. Stay as it is for 15 to 20 minutes daily.
Note : Do it till the problem persists.
