High doses may cause Nausea, Vomiting and Palpitation.
It may be abortive, do not use during Pregnancy.
Note : Chirreta being bitter and cold may injur the Stomach. Chirreta should be taken with a stomach protective herb.

Andrographis is a plant.
It is an annual.
It grows in tropical climate.
It grows up to One Meter.
Best used for Cold, Indigestion and Malaria.
It is considered more effective than Quinine in Malaria.
In TCM :

Meridians associated : Stomach, Lung, Large and Small intestines.

It is a cold herb. It has stronger digestive effects and prevents Gastro Intestinal discomfort when used in combination with Peppermint. In combination with Siberian Ginseng, it reduces the risk of Common cold.
Traditionally it is used to cure Snake Bite, Fever, Dysentery, Cholera, Gonorrhoea, Diabetes, Influenza, Dyspepsia and Hepatitis.
It reduces body heat, acute infections and dispels toxins from the body.
It is used as Digestive tonic.
It is used widely in the treatment of Upper Respiratory tract infections.
It is used in treatment of mild to moderate Ulcerative Colitis.
It is used as a restorative and tonic in Convalescene ( recovering from illness or medical treatment ).
It improves appetite and digestion by stimulating Bile production and flow.
The leaves of the plant are mashed to form juice. Spices are added for taste and the mixture is made into small globules. These are given to infants to treat number of ailments as Irregular stool, Loss of appetite and to relieve gripping in infants.
Kalmegh is used to treat stages of Fever of Cold and Cough.
The herb is also used to treat vomiting in children, Fever with Kala azar, Fever with enlargement of Liver and Spleen, and Fever in infant Liver.
Cancer Treatment : Chirreta is regarded an important anticancer herb in Chinese Medicine system. It encourages phagocytosis, dissolves Tumor, prevents Metastasis and proliferation of Cancer Cells. Chirreta is useful in treating following Cancers:
