Four months ago I developed a Branch Retinal Vein Occlusion (BRVO). The only opthalmic/retinal specialist treatment offered was to get monthly injections into the eye to prevent the development of peripheral blood vessels which can lead to blindness. No other treatment or home care was offered. after being subjected to this twice, I begged off just having the doctor monitor my progress with the OCT imaging device. Doing extensive internet research, I began my own course of various herbs related to vascular conditions. The two most important seem to be Bilberry (I use the extract) which specifically addresses the peripheral vessel development and Notoginseng/Tienchi (I make a tea twice a day). Also, I have been taking Dr. Christopher's Herbal Eye Formula, and using an eyewash, but cannot tolerate the cayenne sting, so can't go higher than 1 drop which seems ineffective. It have the formulation that would address my situation. I want to make my own decoction incorporating Bilberry, Notoginseng, saffron, and any other related herbs that will help dissolve the clot and speed the healing. Not finding the information online. If anyone can help me with this, I would be most grateful.
