Description
Polymyositis is a disease of the Muscles.
A condition that causes inflammation and degeneration of the muscle is Polymyositis. It causes tenderness and may damage the tissues.
It affects the muscles in shoulders, hips and Thighs.
Muscle is a thick band that is made up of fibrous tissues Muscles are present throughout the body along with the skeletal system. They provide flexibility to the joints. If anything goes wrong with the muscles it causes inflammation and restrict the joint movement.
The cause of the Polymyositis is not known yet. However, it is believed that an autoimmune disorder or some infections may be a cause for this problem.
The immune system is a defense system of the body. Its job is to find threat in the body. When something goes wrong with the immune system, it causes harm to the body. It damages the healthy part of the body by mistake.
If not treated properly, Polymyositis may cause

Organ Failure.
