Description
Peritonsillar Abscess is a bacterial infection of the Throat and Tissues.
It is caused by Beta Hemolytic Streptococcus bacteria.
It usually occurs after an attack of Tonsilitis or a Sore Throat.
It causes abscess that contains Pus.
The infection may spread to Neck and Chest.
It may cause obstruction in the air sacs.
