Description

Diverticulitis is a disease of the Diverticulum.
An inflammation of the Diverticulum is Diverticulitis.
Diverticulum is considered as a small pouch formed along the wall of the Alimentary Canal.
It causes pain and inflammation of the bowel function. In this the diverticula bulges outwards.
It is more common in old age and develop at the lower part of the Large Intestines.
It usually shows no symptoms. In case, the diverticula may get infected by some bacteria or virus, it may cause Nausea, Fever, Cramps or Bowel Problems.
In chronic condition, the possible symptoms experienced are Rectal Bleeding or Abdominal Abscess.
