Description

Bunion is a disease of the Foot.
It is a painful swelling of the bursa on the first side of big Toe.
It creates a bump on the Joint connecting Big Toe.
It results in dislocation of the Joint. This is called Bunion.
When the dislocation affects the Joint connecting the Little Toe to the Foot, it is called Bunionette or Tailor's Bunion.
Bunion is sometimes mistaken for Gout. But it is not Gout.
In Gout uric acid crystals get deposited in the joints, muscles and ligaments.

Differential Diagnosis: Appeal : People generally think that there is no difference between Bunion, Hallus Valgus, Arthritis Deformans and Gout.
Bunion is a swelling on the metatarsal joint which is the first joint of the big toe. Where as in Hallus Valgus the big toe shifts towards the other toes. And people think that it is a result of wearing wrong or tight fitted shoes. But it may an indication of Arthritis Deformans.

Chamomile ( Babunah ) for Bunions

Prepare a tea of Chamomile leaves. Drink it while it is still warm. Use this home remedy 2 or 3 times a day to treat Bunions.
Or
Massage your toe with Chamomile essential Oil daily before going to bed.

Marigold for Bunions

Marigold contains anti inflammatory properties that help to reduce Pain and Inflammation.
Crush some Marigold leaves with your hands to extract the juice. Apply the extracted juice on the affected area. Allow it to dry. Repeat this process twice daily.
Or
Apply Marigold ointment over the affected areas 2 or 3 times daily for 1 month.

White Willow for Bunion

Prepare a tea from the fresh leaves of White Willow. Drink it twice a day.
OR:
Prepare a paste of White Willow Bark. Apply it on Bunions.

Sundew for Bunions

Prepare a paste of fresh plant. Apply it on the Bunions.

Ice Compress for Bunions

Wrap ice cubes in cotton cloth. Put the wrapped pack over the affected area for 15-20 minutes.
Massage the toe with Olive Oil. Do the massage two times a day

Epsom Salt for Bunion

Take lukewarm water in a bowl. Add two tablespoons of Epsom salt in it. Soak your foot in water till the water gets cool. Repeat this procedure thrice a week.

Chilli for Bunion

Apply Red chilli over the affected area.
Massage with Castor Oil to the affected area two times a day.

Turmeric for Bunions

Prepare a paste of 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder and 1 tablespoon of Olive Oil. Apply it directly on your bunion. Repeat this process 3 times daily for 1 month.
